Chalet Plots

Gated Community

The Chalet Village is designed as a private, gated community with generous, build-ready plots. The gently sloping terrain allows for substantial chalets with minimal overlooking and a high level of privacy. All infrastructure is completed.

Panoramic Views

Set on a south-facing hillside, the plots enjoy panoramic views across fjords and mountains, with excellent daylight throughout the day. The natural terrain ensures openness, privacy, and a calm sense of space.

The plots at The Chalet Village vary in size, ranging from 886 to 1,927 sqm.

Many border green spaces, and the gently sloping terrain ensures that each plot enjoys panoramic views with minimal overlooking.

Designed for privacy and optimal sunlight exposure, the plots offer a rare combination of space, seclusion, and natural beauty.

Life Beyond the Chalet Village

This region offers a wide range of experiences across all seasons.
Some are energetic, others quiet — all shaped by the landscape and the rhythm of the region.

Winter

Snow blankets the peaks and fjords, creating a calm, clean landscape. Skiing, freeride routes, and touring options are just minutes from the chalet.

Summer

The mountains slow down, and the air cools. Trails are quieter, and the scenery shifts to warm tones. It’s a season for unhurried hikes, short excursions, and enjoying the calm.

Autumn

Sunlight illuminates the fjords and peaks, making every trail, fjord, and valley accessible. Kayaking, hiking, fishing, and boating offer variety, while longer days provide time for activity.

Spring

As the snow recedes, trails and meadows emerge in fresh green.
Days are long, allowing a mix of
alpine hiking, light ski touring, and fjord exploration.

Accessibility

Strandafjellet is just 1.5 scenic hours from Ålesund Airport, with direct flights from Oslo, Amsterdam, London, Copenhagen, and Frankfurt (soon), among others. Helicopter transfers are available from the airport in just 15 minutes, and boat transfers can also be arranged for arrival or departure.

The map illustrates the route many guests choose: after landing at Ålesund Airport (1), some enjoy a short sightseeing stop in Ålesund (2) before continuing toward Strandafjellet (3). On the return journey, private drivers and the optional boat transfer from Øye (highlighted in purple) turn the trip into a scenic adventure through the Hjørundfjord, with an ideal lunch stop at Christian Gaard, a historic fjord farm with roots dating back to the 1500s.

The infrastructure is seamless, combining convenience with the region’s natural beauty. Guests at our hospitality properties have remarked that they were enjoying dinner at their chalets less than four hours after leaving the tarmac at Schiphol.
