The map illustrates the route many guests choose: after landing at Ålesund Airport (1), some enjoy a short sightseeing stop in Ålesund (2) before continuing toward Strandafjellet (3). On the return journey, private drivers and the optional boat transfer from Øye (highlighted in purple) turn the trip into a scenic adventure through the Hjørundfjord, with an ideal lunch stop at Christian Gaard, a historic fjord farm with roots dating back to the 1500s.
The infrastructure is seamless, combining convenience with the region’s natural beauty. Guests at our hospitality properties have remarked that they were enjoying dinner at their chalets less than four hours after leaving the tarmac at Schiphol.
